The artistes of the Wangjaesan Art Troupe, who set off on a local tour to contribute to arousing the revolutionary enthusiasm of working people who are out in the first year’s campaign to carry out the new five-year plan for implementing the decisions of the Eighth Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea, gave the first music and dance performance at the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex on February 20.
The performance that started with music Song of Socialist Advance included a variety of numbers.
Female quintet Toward Another Upsurge under the Uplifted Banner of Self-reliance and mixed group singing We Travel the Road to Socialism Only were acclaimed by the audience as they fired the workers, scientists and technicians of the complex with revolutionary and patriotic zeal.
Mixed septet My Prospering Country, national dance Janggo Dance and other numbers further enlivened the audience.
After the performance was over, the viewers presented entertainers with bouquets as they congratulated them on their successful performance and offered their thanks for invigorating the working people who are on a general onward march for implementing the tasks set forth at the Second Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the WPK.
