Foreign personages of various circles paid congratulatory visits to the DPRK missions in their countries between February 9 and 16 on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il.

They laid flower baskets and bouquets at the portraits of smiling President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il and the artworks depicting the peerlessly great men standing together and bowed to them.

They include the general secretary of the Central Committee of the Nepal Communist Party (Marxist-Leninist) who is ex-deputy prime minister of Nepal, the chairman of the Nepal Journalist Association for the Study of the Juche Idea and Songun Politics, the chairman of the Study Forum for Self-Reliance of Nepal, the vice-chairperson of the Socialist Journalist Forum of Nepal for the Study of the Juche Idea, the director of the Nepal Institute for the Juche Studies, the chairman of the Central Executive Committee of the Bangladesh National Socialist Party, the chairperson of the Bangladesh Jatiya Party, the chairman of the Bangladesh-Korea Friendship and Solidarity Committee, the chairman of the Bangladesh Group for the Study of the Songun Policy, the general secretary of the Arab Democratic Union Party of Syria, the general secretary of the Socialist Unionist Party of Syria and members of its Political Bureau, the secretary general of the Laos-Korea Friendship Association, the chairman of the Anti-imperialist Forum of Germany, the chief of the Berlin Juche Idea Study Group of Germany, the general secretary of the Society for the Promotion of the Relations between Austria and DPRK, the federal secretary of the Left Bloc of the Austrian Trade Union Federation, the general secretary of the Central Committee of the Czechoslovak Communist Party, the chairman of the Paektusan Czech-Korean Friendship Association, the first vice-chairman of the Czech Group for the Study and Materialization of the Juche Idea, the chairman of the Ethiopian Committee for the Study of the Independent Politics, members of the Political Bureau of the Workers' Party for the Independence of Senegal, the deputy director of the International Department of the Democratic Party of Equatorial Guinea and his party, the chairman of the Youth Group for the Study of the Juche Idea in the Democratic Republic of Congo and the director of the Senegalese newspaper Courrier Africain.

Meanwhile, the Finnish Communists' League, the Finland-Korea Society and the Finnish National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea sent a basket of flowers in their joint name to the DPRK mission in the country, and the Khabarovsk Territorial Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, the Denmark-DPRK Friendship Association and the director of the Central Secretariat of the Pakistan People's Party sent bouquets to the DPRK missions in their countries to mark the Day of the Shining Star.
