The “offensive spirit of Mt Paektu” is a new term that signifies the unyielding offensive spirit of braving bottlenecks and difficulties, an important content of the revolutionary spirit of Paektu, the spirit of the blizzards of Paektu.
On his horseback march in the revolutionary battle sites in the Mt Paektu area from November 30 to December 2, 2019, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un put forward the idea of tiding over the ordeals of the revolution and carving out the new road in the indomitable fighting spirit based on the revolutionary traditions of Paektu, the offensive spirit of Mt Paektu.
The essence of the new term “offensive spirit of Mt Paektu” is to defend, inherit and develop forever the glorious revolutionary traditions, having taken root in Paektu, and tide over the ordeals of the revolution and carve out the new road in the indomitable attack idea based on its great traditions.
The offensive spirit of Mt Paektu is an unyielding offensive revolutionary idea of winning victory at any cost while braving obstacles and difficulties encountered by one’s own efforts. In other words, it is the unyielding charging spirit of forcing one’s way through obstacles and difficulties encountered, the spirit of self-reliance in which one strengthens one’s own forces, the internal motive force in every way to realize one’s great aspiration and ideal, and the spirit of uninterrupted advance and innovations to promote the revolution to ceaseless leap and upturn without any stagnation and standstill.
New term “offensive spirit of Mt Paektu” implies the history of the Korean revolution that has recorded the immortal heroic epic while surmounting the severest challenges and exceedingly dangerous obstacles. It also reflects the steadfast will of Kim Jong Un to accomplish the revolutionary cause of Juche without fail in the offensive idea of Paektu, the offensive mode of Paektu, President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il applied throughout their lives.
