The central meeting of Koreans in Japan in celebration of the 109th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung was held in the Korean Hall of Culture in Tokyo, Japan, on April 14.
Attending the meeting were the chairman and vice-chairpersons of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan, the chairman of the Chongryon Central Audit Committee and other leading officials of various organizations and Korean compatriots in Japan.
Ho Jong Man, chairman of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee, said at the meeting that the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un sent aid fund and stipends again for democratic national education of the children of Koreans in Japan.
He in his report referred to the immortal exploits the peerlessly great men of Mt Paektu performed in the course of strengthening Chongryon, and noted that they should apply the main idea and spirit of the Eighth Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea in the overall work of Chongryon and thus orient it towards developing the movement of Koreans in Japan onto a higher stage.
Branch organizations should be formed in any place where compatriots live and built as energetic organizations full of life by improving their features drastically, he noted, adding that concentrated efforts should be directed toward the anti-epidemic work for protecting the life of compatriots and the noble traits of helping each other should pervade the society of compatriots.
A congratulatory message to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un was read out at the meeting.
On the same day, a central lecture meeting in celebration of the Day of the Sun was held in the Central Hall of Chongryon in Tokyo.
It was attended by Ho Jong Man, vice-chairpersons and members of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee, the chairman of the Chongryon Central Audit Committee and other officials.
