I extend ardent congratulations and warm greetings to you, your friendly government and people in the name of the government and people of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of independence of Syria.
The Syrian people, after the country's independence, have waged a dynamic struggle to destroy all kinds of moves of aggression and interference by imperialism and its followers, firmly defend the sovereignty and dignity of the country and build a new prosperous society.
The Korean people always send invariable support to and solidarity with the Syrian people in their just cause for independence and justice, peace and development.
Availing myself of this opportunity, I express my conviction that the historic relations of friendship and cooperation between the DPRK and Syria would be further strengthened and developed in accordance with the noble will of the preceding leaders and the desire of the peoples of the two countries and sincerely wish you good health and greater success in your responsible work.
