It is an expression of absolute support, deep trust and great expectation of the entire members of your party and the Cuban people that you took the heavy responsibility of the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba at an important and historic period when the cause of Cuban revolution pioneered and advanced under the leadership of esteemed Fidel Castro Ruz and Raul Castro Ruz is being carried forward through generations.

Your election as the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba has provided a firm guarantee for vigorously advancing the Cuban revolution along the road of independence, justice and socialism true to the idea and will of the preceding leaders and pushing forward the Cuban people to invariably advance towards the future of socialism full of confidence and optimism.

I truly take it a pleasure.

I firmly believe that the fraternal Cuban people would rise up in the struggle for the implementation of the decisions of the party congress firmly rallied around the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba headed by the esteemed First Secretary to firmly defend the gains of revolution and surely build an independent and prospering socialist state.

The relations between our two parties and two countries established on the basis of the deep friendship and comradeship between

and Fidel Castro Ruz, the great leaders of the peoples of Korea and Cuba, have been further consolidated and deepened in the course of overcoming harsh trials of history and developed into the special comradely relations and strategic relations through generations.

I assure you once again my will to further expand and develop the traditional friendship and solidarity and comradely relations of cooperation between our two parties and two countries on the road of struggle for the common cause under the banner of socialism according to the agreement reached at our meeting in Pyongyang in November 2018.
