Pyongyang, April 23 (KCNA) -- President Kim Il Sung founded the Korean People's Revolutionary Army (KPRA), the first revolutionary armed forces in Korea, on April 25, Juche 21 (1932), and led the anti-Japanese revolutionary war to victory.
In those days, he authored many famous works. Among them is "Guerrillas Actions", the first manual on guerrilla tactics made public on April 25, Juche 22 (1933) which systemizes the unique guerrilla tactics created in the war against the Japanese imperialist aggressors.
This work deals with the fundamental matters ranging from the guerrillas' spiritual and moral qualities to the general principles of guerrilla warfare. It also normalizes all the principles and methods of guerrilla actions including assault, ambush, defensive battle, march, bivouac and other combat actions and firing, handling weapons and discipline.
"Guerrillas Actions" had served as a guideline for the guerrillas' combat actions and life since it expounded the principled matters arising in such military actions as organization and command over guerrilla warfare.
As seen above, with his gifted military wisdom the President comprehensively systematized the guerrilla warfare tactics and methods in a matter of one year after the birth of the KPRA.
After that, he created lots of such famous tactics as the telescope tactic, the tactic of appearing now in the east and now in the west in a flash and the tactic of marching a long distance at a step while leading the anti-Japanese revolutionary war.
Officers and members of the KPRA got well versed in "Guerrillas Actions" and skillfully employed the adroit guerrilla strategies and tactics to win in every battle against the enemies. In this regard, the Japanese imperialists cried in despair that the KPRA's protean tactics of guerrilla warfare could not be found in any military books of the Japanese army and its strategy and tactics.
The great exploits of the President who defeated the strong Japanese imperialism by dint of the Juche-based guerrilla tactics and strategies will remain forever. -0-
