In the coal-mining industry of the DPRK, well over a hundred tunnelling and mining units carried out their first half-yearly plans ahead of schedule as of now, thereby providing a sure guarantee for fulfilling annual plans and injecting fresh vigour into economic construction.
As complexes and mines of the industry gave precedence to tunnelling, they have been able to secure lots of reserve coalfields and open up bright prospects of increased coal production this year. In the course of this the number of the tunnelling and mining units that have completed their first half-yearly assignments continues to increase.
Amid the dynamic high-speed tunnelling drive, over 20 tunnelling units each in the Tokchon Area Coal-mining Complex and Pukchang Area Youth Coal-mining Complex finished their first half-yearly tasks over one month ahead of schedule.
Particularly, workers of the Ri Su Bok Youth Shock Brigade of the Tokchon Coal Mine and the high-speed tunnelling workteam of Pit No. 1 of the Namdok Youth Coal Mine accomplished their tunnelling tasks for six months until mid-March ahead of others.
Many units including coal-mining workshop No. 1 of Pit No. 5 of the Jenam Coal Mine and the youth coal-mining workshop of the Youth Pit of the Songnam Youth Coal Mine ensured the full operation of facilities to record good production results every day.
Coal-mining workshop No. 2 of the Pongchon Pit under the Pongchon Coal Mine, coal-mining workshop No. 6 of Pit No. 3 of the Chonsong Youth Coal Mine and several other workshops managed processes scrupulously and widely applied advanced coal-cutting methods to suit their coalfield conditions, thus increasing the mining rate.
In addition, dozens of coal-mining workshops in coal mines across the country, such as coal-mining workshop No. 1 of Pit No. 5 of the Toksong Coal Mine and coal-mining workshop No. 3 of Pit No. 1 of the Hoean Youth Coal Mine, overfulfilled their coal production plans for the first half of the year by late May in the course of increased production activities to set new standards and records continuously.
All other units of the coal-mining industry are redoubling their efforts to execute their national economic plans ahead of schedule by emulating the units that have already carried out their first half-yearly plans.
