The Sunchon Limestone Mine carried out a 300 000-cubic-metre blasting to provide a guarantee for mass mining and a steady supply of the main raw material to the Sunchon Cement Complex.
In its efforts to finish the preparations for blasting in the shortest possible period, the mine completed a design with which to boost blasting efficiency, took proper measures for the supply of necessary materials and supplies and organized a tunnelling competition by each shift to make them carry out their daily plans without fail.
The Jonjin Pit overfulfilled its daily plans by over 20 percent by ensuring the full-capacity operation of excavating machines. The blasting workshop scientifically set the drilling points, blasting angles and number of blast holes and introduced efficient blasting methods to increase the number of blasts per shift.
After getting fully ready for the huge blasting, the mine successfully conducted it on June 15.
