The crime of murder by young people is getting severer in Japan.
A 19-year-old man recently stabbed two persons with a kitchen knife in Tachigawa of Tokyo, killing one and wounding the other.
The criminal stated that as he watched videos showing man-killing scenes on websites, he felt like killing someone and he tried to photograph such a scene.
Last year a 15-year-old struck a 70-year-old on the head with a hammer to inflict a severe injury in Matsubara, Osaka. Asked about the motive of crime, he did not hesitate to say that he had already wanted to kill any person, to the astonishment of all.
Violent films, horror video games and abnormal ads that are commonplace in Japanese society cripple younger generation mentally and morally.
Particularly, the murder of relatives does not cease.
This year alone, there was a series of cases of children killing their mothers in cold blood in Aichi, Saitama and Nagano prefectures.
The public is of the opinion that as everything they see and hear is murder, rape, robbery and other abnormal and decadent acts in society, Japanese children cannot but regard violence and murder as a sort of game.
