The Third Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea came to a close on June 18 after winding up the discussion of agenda items presented with success.  The fourth-day sitting of the plenary meeting, as the seventh agenda item, summed up the Party organizational and ideological life of the members of the central leadership body of the Party in the first half of 2021.  The Party life of the members of the central leadership body of the Party in the first half of the year was informed.  Kim Jong Un pointed out in detail that the Party central leadership body newly elected at the Eighth Party Congress made a solemn pledge before the Party and the people, but serious problems have already been manifested in the work and life of members of the leadership body.  He taught one by one with what preparedness and work attitude the members of the leadership body should work to discharge their historic duty and how they should strive to improve themselves ideologically and spiritually, culturally and morally.  He stressed that the members of the leadership body should draw a serious lesson from their shortcomings in the first half of the year, cherish the ideals of the Party Congress--believing in the people as in heaven, single-hearted unity and self-reliance--deeply in mind once again on the occasion of the current plenary meeting and make strenuous efforts all the more with deep awareness and thus do their best in discharging their obligations faithfully.  He said it is none other than the members of the Party central leadership body that should take the lead in helping the WPK do its duty as the militant staff of the revolution and the servant Party of the people. He earnestly said they should devote all their wisdom and passion to perfectly and thoroughly carrying out the major policy tasks discussed and decided at the current plenary meeting.  The plenary meeting discussed an organizational issue as the eighth agenda item.  Member and alternate member of the Political Bureau of the Party Central Committee were recalled and by-elected, members and alternate members of the Party Central Committee recalled and by-elected and a senior official of a state organ dismissed and appointed.  Kim Jong Un concluded the plenary meeting.  Saying the current plenary meeting fully performed its work and historic important duty thanks to the active participation and high sense of responsibility of the members of the Party central leadership body, he expressed thanks to all the members of the leadership body for having taken an active and sincere part in discussing the whole work of the Party and the state during the plenary meeting.  He, on behalf of the Party Central Committee, took a solemn oath that the WPK would surely tide over the present difficulties in the way of the revolution with its indefatigable fighting spirit and remain loyal to the revolutionary idea and cause of the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il without any change in whatever harsher trials in the future.
