The Moran Foodstuff-processing Factory strives to improve the taste and quality of products as it boosts production based on locally available raw materials.
It presses ahead with production under the well-organized system of supplying such materials as oktang sugar, glucose, hops and malt which was established in close contact with different domestic producers.
Its staple products are yeast bread and beer.
And there are over ten kinds of yeast bread such as sugared, egg and milk-butter yeast breads and table bread.
Dough-making and fermentation are important in ensuring the good looks, bulkiness and taste of the soft bread, said Jon Hyon Su, staffer of the factory.
According to him, the factory uses the dried yeast, which was developed by the Pyongyang Wheat Flour Processing Factory with local materials, in bread production and it has greater fermenting power and is more convenient to use than the previous yeast.
To satisfy the growing customer demand for the quality of bread, it also developed a variety of nutritious breads.
Among them are yeast breads with the flavour of beef, pork and duck and hot taste and lysine nutritive bread as well.
As the beer of the factory has a unique flavour and fragrance, the number of customers is on the rise.
The factory strictly ensures its qualitative indexes in different processes including maturing and filtering in order to preserve its taste, colour, aesthetic value and froth.
Most recently, it made and installed a swirl filter to improve the accuracy of filtering.
The beer thus brewed has a golden colour and is bubbly and the froth stays long. Its concentration is 11°, alcohol content 3.5 percent and degree of carbonation 0.48 percent.
In addition, the factory produces various other goods including sugar-coated beans, sponge cake, pie and instant noodles and the demand for its Solgwang-brand products grows day by day.
“We will constantly improve the blending ratios of materials, processing methods and the shape and taste of products and thereby develop new products reflecting different tastes of customers,” said manager Kang Un Jong.
