A joint round-table forum was sponsored by the International Liaison Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on the 21st to commemorate the third anniversary of China visit by Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, and the second anniversary of visit to the DPRK by Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and President of the People's Republic of China.  Present there were Ri Ryong Nam, DPRK Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to China, and staff members of his embassy, Head Song Tao, Deputy Head Guo Yezhou and other officials of the International Liaison Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.  Speeches were made.  Ri Ryong Nam said the genuine comradely friendship, trust and deep intimacy between the leaders of the two parties are the cornerstone supporting the pillar of the DPRK-China relations in the new era. He also said it is a consistent stand of the Party and people of Korea to treasure the DPRK-China friendly relations and vigorously advance the socialist cause with their might.  He mentioned the great achievements made by the Chinese people in socialist construction peculiar to China under the leadership of the Communist Party of China with General Secretary Xi Jinping as the core. He expressed the belief that the DPRK-China friendly relations would be developed according to the aspiration, desire and fundamental interests of the peoples of the two countries this year marking the 60th anniversary of the conclusion of the DPRK-China Treaty on Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance.  Song Tao said the supreme leaders of the two countries played an important role of strategic guidance in keeping the common interests of both sides and defending the global peace as the guide and pillar in developing the China-DPRK relations. He stressed that the peoples of the two countries would defend, consolidate and develop the China-DPRK relations wonderfully, true to the noble intention of their supreme leaders.  He said they will put into practice the common understanding made by the supreme leaders of the two countries to provide the two peoples with greater happiness and thus make an active contribution to the regional peace, stability, development and prosperity. He wished the China-DPRK friendship to be carried forward generation after generation.  That day, the International Liaison Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China gave a reception.
