The respected Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, visited the Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs Cemetery at zero hour on July 27 on the occasion of the 68th anniversary of the Korean people's victory in the great Fatherland Liberation War.
He was greeted on the spot by Pak Jong Chon, Kwon Yong Jin, Ri Yong Gil and other commanding personnel of the People's Army and commanders of the large and other combined units of the army.
Kim Jong Un laid a flower before the cemetery.
He paid noble respects to the heroes and heroines of the great years who honourably defended the sovereignty and dignity of the country and created a brilliant history of succession of the Korean revolution, burning their hearts with intense loyalty to the leader, confidence in victory and ardent patriotism.
Kim Jong Un looked round the cemetery together with other visitors.
He said that though the years go by and generations change many a time, the noble revolutionary spirit and heroic feats of the generation who won victory in the war will constantly increase the zeal of the rising generations for patriotism and struggle and powerfully promote the victorious advance of the Korean people toward a new victory of the revolution.
