Pyongyang, August 9 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun Monday says in an editorial that it is an ardent desire of the entire Party members, working people and service personnel to achieve a fresh great victory by giving full play to their own power and wisdom under the leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK).
The ongoing struggle for breaking through head-on unprecedented difficulties is a heroic great creation campaign for bringing about a new great victory and new life of socialism, the editorial says, and goes on:
The WPK decided to wage an all-out drive for implementing the new five-year plan under the uplifted banner of self-reliance and self-sufficiency and dynamically leads the drive, which is to readjust and reinforce the national economy and remarkably increase the internal force so as to build a powerful independent economy that constantly develops in the face of any sanctions and blockade by the hostile forces and external hindrance.
Herein lies the revolutionary faith of the WPK and the Korean people remaining optimistic about their future despite ordeals and the mode of advance peculiar to the Korean revolution.
Now is the time for making a breakthrough in the on-going drive with unprecedented power and wisdom and winning a series of victories by dint of self-reliance on all fronts of socialist construction.
The Korean people have the excellent history and traditions in which they have turned harsh trials into remarkable leaps forward.
The long history of the DPRK clearly proves that manifold difficulties make its overall national power get stronger and put the Korean revolution on a new stage of development.
