Personages of different countries and international organizations paid congratulatory visits to the DPRK missions in their countries on the occasion of the 73rd founding anniversary of the DPRK.

They laid baskets of flowers and bouquets before the portraits of smiling President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il and the artworks depicting them standing together, and paid tribute to them.

Other foreign personages paid congratulatory visits to the DPRK missions.

They included the secretary of Chamberlain as special envoy of the Egyptian president, the general secretary of the Arab Democratic Union Party of Syria, the secretary general of the International Taekwon-Do Association in Iran, the general secretary of the Central Committee of the Czechoslovak Communist Party, the vice-president of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples, a member of the Communist Party Group of the Brazilian National Congress and the chief of the Carabobo Branch of the Venezuelan Solidarity Committee for Korea's Peace and Reunification.

Meanwhile, the president of the International Group of Italy sent a large flower basket to the DPRK mission in his country on the same occasion. Baskets of flowers and bouquets were sent to the DPRK missions by the Lao foreign minister, the chairman of the Syrian side to the DPRK-Syria intergovernmental joint economic committee, the acting chairman of the Swedish Committee for Peace and Reunification of the Korean Peninsula, the national leader of the Workers' Party of Mexico, the general secretary of the Central Committee of the People's Socialist Party of Mexico, the president of the Mexican Committee for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism, the chairman of the Mexican Institute for the Study of the Juche Idea, the chairman of the Mexican Committee for Supporting Peaceful Reunification of Korea, the president of the Mexican Friend Association for Memory of President Kim Il Sung and Leader Kim Jong Il, the Committee for External Affairs of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, the Central Committee of the Lao Federation of Trade Unions, the External Affairs Commission of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Committee for External Affairs of the National Assembly of Vietnam, the Vietnamese Ministry of Defence, the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, the Vietnam-DPRK Friendship Association, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Vietnam and the Uganda National Resistance Movement.
