The DPRK is dynamically promoting the projects for house construction to provide people with better living environment and conditions.
In the 2010s alone, modern and peculiar Changjon, Mirae Scientists and Ryomyong streets were built at excellent places in the capital city of Pyongyang for the citizens.
Whenever the streets were built as the cradle of happiness for people, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un inspected the construction sites to acquaint himself with the details of projects.
In May Juche 101 (2012), he inspected the construction site of Changjon Street twice and looked round the flats on the 2nd, 20th and 45th floors. Saying that the interior was arranged for the convenience of house owners, he expressed great satisfaction with the fact that it was possible to provide citizens with better dwelling houses.
Looking round the completed Mirae Scientists Street in October Juche 104 (2015), he said that all the high-rise buildings are associated with the politics of prioritizing, respecting and loving people administered by the Workers’ Party of Korea which believes in them as in heaven.
In March Juche 106 (2017), he visited the construction site of Ryomyong Street nearing completion. He said as follows: I feel as if I were seeing the happy people who will settle in the street. I am very pleased to think that I can keep the promise I made to the people to complete the project till the Day of the Sun and that I will soon share joy with them again.
And he called for doing whatever difficult job, if it is favoured by the people and if it is in their interests.
This year, the construction of a residential district of terraced apartment buildings on the bank of the Pothong River and 10 000 flats is in full swing in Pyongyang.
During his third visit to the construction site of the Pothong riverside terraced houses district, he underscored the need to plan and arrange buildings, facilities, roads, green spaces and all other elements from the viewpoint of interconnection so that the most convenient and hygienic environment can be provided for the people and to make the configurations of cities diverse, attractive and unique to create features peculiar to each of them.
The houses will also be distributed to ordinary people, including labour innovators and persons of distinguished services in different sectors, scientists, educators and writers who devote themselves to the Party and the state.
