An internet seminar of the East European and Central Asian regions on the theme of "Sovereignty and independence—goal of the 21st century, the DPRK’s party building experience" was held in St Petersburg of Russia on October 7 on the occasion of the 76th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea.
It was attended by chiefs of the International Alliance of Societies for the Study of the Juche Idea and Songun Policy in East European and Central Asian Regions and the groups for the study of the Juche idea and Juche idea followers of Russia, Ukraine, Moldova and other countries.
Mikhail Panchenko, general secretary of the International Alliance of Societies for the Study of the Juche Idea and Songun Policy in East European and Central Asian Regions, addressed the seminar.
He said that President Kim Il Sung set forth an original party-building idea conforming to the actual situation of Korea, not any established theory, and built the WPK into the vanguard organization of working people.
The WPK has waged the struggle to meet the demands of the people and serve their interests since it inscribed a hammer, sickle and writing brush in its red flag, he noted.
He pointed to the need for all the progressive parties of the world to learn from the experience of the WPK, and said that in order to realize independence, it is necessary to conduct brisk activities to study and disseminate the outstanding ideas and theories of General Secretary Kim Jong Un of the WPK.
Speeches were made by Nikolai Polishk, chairman of the Ukrainian "Treasured Sword of Songun" Association for the Study of the Juche Idea, Dmitri Kostenko, chairman of the Russian Association for the Study of the Juche Idea, the chairman of the All-Russian Society for the Study and Dissemination of Kimilsungism, and Oleg Vernik, chairman of the Moldovan Songun Youth Union for the Study of the Juche Idea.
A congratulatory message to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the seminar.
