Kim Tok Hun, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and Vice-President of the State Affairs Commission and Premier of the Cabinet of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, made a field survey of the agricultural sector of North Phyongan Province.
Looking round the Chojang Cooperative Farm in Kwaksan County, he said the officials and farmers should do harvesting and threshing properly in every process to reap the crops they cultivated with much effort in due season.
At the food administration stations in Jongju City and Kwaksan and Pakchon Counties, he stressed the need to organize and do the work of refurbishing the city and county food administration stations and modernizing the grain-processing lines and solve in time the technical problems arising in raising the operating rate of the equipment in order to thoroughly implement the tasks outlined in the administrative policies of the DPRK government.
The consultative meetings held on the spot emphasized that the farms should concentrate efforts on concluding this year's farming properly and make full preparations for next year's farming and the food administration stations should further raise the qualitative level in drying, storing and processing the grains.
