Celebratory meetings and lectures were held in the UK, Mexico, Brazil, Venezuela, Guinea, Algeria, Uganda and Tanzania between October 4 and 11 on the occasions of the 24th anniversary of Kim Jong Il’s election as general secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and the 76th founding anniversary of the WPK.
The events brought together public figures and other people from all walks of life in those countries.
The general secretary of the Central Committee of the People’s Socialist Party of Mexico praised the exploits performed by President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il who had vigorously advanced the socialist cause by founding the Juche-oriented revolutionary party and enhancing its leadership role remarkably, and the experienced and seasoned leadership ability of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who put the strategic position of the country on the highest level.
The chairman of the Venezuelan National Society for the Study of the Juche Idea and other figures referred to the fact that Kim Il Sung laid the organizational and ideological foundations for founding the party in the period of the arduous anti-Japanese war and accomplished the historic cause of party building right after Korea’s liberation.
The chairman of the Brazilian Centre for the Study of the Juche Idea in a lecture on Kim Jong Il’s work The Workers’ Party of Korea Organizes and Guides All the Victories of Our People spoke highly of the greatness of the President and the Chairman who made a great contribution to the founding and development of the WPK, while the chairman of the Algeria-Korea Friendship Association said that the WPK is further demonstrating its dignity and might to the world under the leadership of Kim Jong Un.
The director-general of the International Institute of the Juche Idea who doubles as chairman of the Mexican Committee for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism explained in detail the main contents of General Secretary Kim Jong Un's work The Cause of the Great Party of Comrades Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il Is Ever-Victorious.
Personages of the Ugandan National Executive Committee of the Pan-African Movement, the Ugandan National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea and the Uganda-DPRK Friendship Association said that it is the party building idea and doctrine of Kim Jong Un to develop the WPK into the one serving the people and that the WPK will be ever-victorious as long as it is led by him.
