The Korean Central News Agency released a commentary under the title "Dangerous Moves to Take the Road of Overseas Aggression at Any Time" as regards more undisguised attempt of Japan for overseas expansion.

The commentary said.

At a Cabinet meeting held some time ago the Japanese government decided to extend one year the period of stationing of the escort ship of the Maritime "Self-Defense Force" dispatched to the sea off Somalia under the pretext of "coping with pirates" and increase the number of its troops.

It also decided to extend another one year the period of activities of the troops of the "Self-Defense Forces" dispatched to the multinational forces and inspection group on the Sinai of Egypt. What cannot be overlooked is that the military activities of the Maritime "Self-Defense Force" are being further strengthened.

In November alone, Japan conducted a joint drill with the aircraft-carrier strike force of the British navy in the Gulf of Aden in the sea off Somalia and a joint exercise with the Australian navy in the waters south of the Shikoku Island.

It staged the 5-nation joint military exercise involving the US, Australian, Canadian and German naval forces on the Philippine Sea around the southern area of Japan for 10 days until November 30. It has been frequently conducting joint military drills by inviting multinational forces to the surrounding waters.

Japan's repeated extension of period of stationing of its troops dispatched overseas and intensive joint military exercises are dangerous moves to train the "Self-Defense Forces" in real combat action, regularize and justify its overseas advance and thus take the road of overseas aggression at any time.

The Japanese "Self-Defense Forces" have already been turned into offensive aggressor forces, regularized forces for reinvasion, beyond the principle of "total defense". Nevertheless, the Japanese authorities scheme to compile the largest-ever amount of next year's budget for "defense expenditure" by doubling the military spendings which had been limited under one percent of the gross national product.

The final goal of Japan is to make itself a military giant and develop offensive weapons and thus contain the regional countries and restore its old position of colonial suzerain state.

Japan is not only a war criminal state and defeated nation that provoked a war of aggression against Asian countries in the past but also a criminal state which does not make any reflection until today after tens of years since then.

Japan with such dangerous outlook on history is trying to possess and increase its offensive military ability. It shows that Japan may take the road of overseas aggression at any time. Herein lies the reason why the international community must keep vigilance over the moves of Japan.

Japan must bear in mind that it will invite only self-destruction if it rushes headlong for military expansion, oblivious of its history of crimes, the commentary warned.
