“Prosperity by dint of self-reliance” is a byword reflecting the invariable faith and will of the Workers’ Party of Korea and the people of the DPRK to build a powerful socialist country without fail by relying on their own strength with the firm belief in it in the revolution and construction.
Its main content is to strengthen the country’s own force, the internal motive force, in every way by fully relying on the strength of its people and build their paradise which thrives forever by their own efforts.
The greatest strength the people should rely on in developing their country and making it powerful is just their own strength.
And only when they strictly adhere to the principle of self-reliance, the rule of solving all problems with their own efforts, technology and resources, not with others’, can they possess power to ensure prosperity and rejuvenation of their country and nation as they create everything they want. And the prosperity achieved on such strength can rightly be claimed to be genuine prosperity.
The WPK and the Korean people have waged a vigorous struggle under the slogan of self-reliance and self-development as they have held their ground in the face of worst adversity.
Through the military parade in celebration of the 75th anniversary of the WPK, the Korean people witnessed the tremendous strength built up under the banner of self-reliance and confirmed their belief that wealth and power of a country or nation can be genuine prosperity only when they are achieved by their own efforts.
