The song "Youth, Forward, Following the Party" was created in Juche 99(2010) with poem by Kim Hyong Chan and music by People's Artist Hwang Jin Yong.
It sings of the burning patriotic enthusiasm of the Korean young people to further glorify the socialist motherland under the leadership of the respected Kim Jong Un, carrying forward the noble fighting spirit and work style of the youth of the preceding generations who have advanced all the time, resolutely implementing the lines and policies of the Workers' Party of Korea, in every chronicle of socialist construction.
The song is characterized by relatively longer refrain than the forepart. Especially the poetic expression "Hot-blooded youth, forward, to the call of the Workers' Party and let's shoulder all big burdens of the country" shows well the noble ideological and spiritual world of the Korean young people who have won only victory under the leadership of the Party and are replete with a resolve to shape a good future.
The ideological and thematic contents of the song are further emphasized by the bright and lilting melody filled with the powerful strength and stamina of youth.
The song was popular among the young people. It is now encouraging the young people who have turned out as one to implement the decisions adopted at the Fourth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the WPK.
