The test firing drill took place on the 14th to judge the actual war capacity of the Railway-borne Missile Regiment of North Phyongan Province.
The test firing drill was guided by commanding officials of the Korean People's Army and leading officials of the Academy of Defence Science.
It was conducted aiming at inspecting the combat readiness of combatants of the railway-borne missile regiment and enhancing their capability of performing firepower duty.
The railway-borne missile regiment received the firing order from the General Staff of the KPA on the morning of the 14th without previous warning, moved rapidly to the designated fire point and hit the fixed target in the East Sea of Korea with two tactical guided missiles.
Highly appreciated at the review was the combat preparedness of the Railway-borne Missile Regiment of North Phyongan Province which ensured the rapid mobility and hit the target. Discussed there were the methodological issues on properly establishing the operation system of the railway-borne missiles and further perfecting the railway-borne missile tactics of Korean-style.
