A meeting was held at the National Theatre on the 19th to mark the 30th anniversary of the publication of the great leader Kim Jong Il's famous work "On Juche Literature".
Present there were leading officials, writers and examiners of the April 15 Literary Production Company and the Central Committee of the Writers Union of Korea, teachers, researchers and editors of Kim Il Sung University, Kim Hyong Jik University of Education, the Academy of Social Sciences and the Art and Literature Publishing House and other in-service writers in Pyongyang City.
A report was made by Kim Hye Song, Chairperson of the Central Committee of the Writers Union of Korea. The reporter said the famous work "On Juche Literature" made public by Kim Jong Il on January 20, Juche 81(1992) is a great programme of Juche literature which clearly expounded all problems arising in the creation and building of literature with the immortal Juche idea as the ideological, theoretical and methodological basis.
The reporter called on all the leading officials and writers to make a deep study of the work "On Juche Literature" and discharge their mission and duty as literary men of the Workers' Party of Korea in the present struggle for an overall development of socialist construction.
