Thirty young people in the capital volunteered to work in labour-consuming sectors of socialist construction.
A youth league member of the Moranbong Printing Plant volunteered to work at the Kangdong Area Coal-mining Complex and one girl worker of the Aeguk Choe Jong Rak Garment Factory was determined to volunteer to work at the Kubin Stockbreeding Cooperative Farm in Kangdong County.
Among such young volunteers are those who offered to work at socialist rural communities, the Sepho area livestock farming base, the Chongjin Fishery Station and the Hoechang County Forestry Management Station.
On January 19, young people in Pyongyang held a meeting in the hall of the municipal youth league committee to congratulate the young volunteers.
It was attended by officials of relevant sectors and youth league officials and members in the city.
Certificates of volunteer were awarded to them.
Speeches were made after a congratulatory speech of Kim Ju Hyok, chairman of the Pyongyang municipal committee of the youth league.
A resolution was adopted at the meeting.
Officials, young people and working people in the city presented bouquets to the volunteers before seeing them off.
Earlier, youth league members of the Taehung Trade Guidance Bureau and the Central Zoo volunteered to work at the Management Office for Revolutionary Battle Sites in the Paektusan Secret Camp Area and the Komdok Mining Complex.
