The metallurgical industrial sector of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea has set a goal for making innovations this year and is newly confirming the ways to attain it.
Major iron and steel works are discussing ways to improve the quality of iron and steel, increase their varieties, further perfect the Korean-style iron-making method and push ahead with the projects for establishing Juche-based production processes.
They are carrying out the measures to overhaul and repair the blast and electric furnaces regularly and take care of the equipment according to technical regulations for improving the operational skill and to readjust and reinforce the existing processes for fully satisfying the demand of the national economy for iron and steel.
Iron mines are working out specific ways and taking practical measures to provide the iron works with raw materials unconditionally as planned, and making innovations every day from the beginning of this year.
