Social interest in the indoor greening is increasing day by day amid the people's high demand for living in a beautiful natural environment.
Indoor greening puts the people's mind at rest and it is very good for ornamental effect. It is one of the good ways to purify the polluted air in the room and provide a brighter and cleaner environment.
Kim Song Do, Deputy Director of the GreenArchitecture Technology Exchange Company, says:
"In winter it is cold and people fail to change air properly. So, a lot of substances bad for human body such as carbon dioxide and dust are suspended in the room air. When we make a certain relationship between man, environment and interior of building harmoniously by decorating the indoor space with various plants, we can get different good effects including the control of temperature and humidity and air conditioning along with ornamental effects."
The flower shops in Pyongyang City not only grow ornamental plants good for indoor greening well but also spread them.
Saleswoman Kim Un Gyong at the Puksong Flower Shop says:
"There are ornamental leaf, fruit and aura plants which are used for indoor greening. We inform the customers well of the common knowledge of the indoor greening and the effectiveness of the plants for greening, so that they can pay attention to the indoor greening."
A number of units decorate the interior with various flowerpots for colourful indoor greening.
Good indoor greening pleases the customers and preserves temperature in winter and cools air in summer.
Kim Song Do says:
"When we know well about the indoor greening and decorate our houses and work places with various kinds of plants with great air-purifying capacity and good ornamental value, we can work optimistically in the wonderful green and cultural environments, I think."
While cultivating plants, many people have beautiful emotion and form an attachment to their work places.
