Scientists of the Microbiological Institute under the State Academy of Sciences presented research findings conducive to solving the sugar issue which is urgent in the field of foodstuff industry.
They scientifically established the technology of industrial production of two enzyme preparations with high activity making sugar from starch, opening a good prospect to produce the enzyme preparations for sugar production with domestic raw materials and technique.
Those enzyme preparations produced by the scientists have been introduced into a number of foodstuff factories across the country to produce corn syrup, glucose, alcohol and so on.
The scientists of the institute are actively promoting the researches for further raising the activity of the enzyme preparations for sugar production, expanding the scale of production and developing the technology of producing various kinds of new industrial enzymes.
