Disgraceful Behavior of Hypocritical “Human Rights” Organization

Recently, the “U.S. Committee for Human Rights in North Korea” is hell-bent on “human rights” racket against our Republic, finding fault with “human rights” issue in our country again.

As for the “U.S. Committee for Human Rights in North Korea”, it is a plot-breeding organization against our Republic wearing the cap of “non-governmental organization” under direct control of the U.S. which tries to impair the dignity of our state and seek regime change in our country.

Its true colors were revealed in all nakedness at the meeting of Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) held in February 2018.

At that time, the meeting of Non-Governmental Organization of ECOSOC defined the “U.S. Committee for Human Rights in North Korea” as an organization gravely violating the spirit and principles of the UN Charter and ECOSOC resolution 1996/31 on prohibiting the activities of overthrowing a state and infringing upon sovereignty. It also turned down an application submitted by this organization to grant it consultative status with ECOSOC.

The U.S., nonplussed by this, denounced as “human rights violators” those countries which had opposed granting consultative status to this organization and kept threatening them. In April 2018, it forced the Coordination and Management meeting of ECOSOC to adopt a decision about granting consultative status with ECOSOC to the “U.S. Committee for Human Rights in North Korea”.

This fact alone shows as it is that the “U.S. Committee for Human Rights in North Korea” is a puppet organization which is under direct sponsorship and control of the U.S. government.

This organization, under the directive of the U.S. administration, let loose its assertion in April 2021that priority should be given to the “human rights issue” in the review of the U.S. policy towards the DPRK and that the U.S. should make a strong case of the “human rights issue” in north Korea at the UN and resume periodical review of the “human rights” record in north Korea.

It also staged a play of darkening the UN doorsteps, spreading false rumors that food instability could have been aggravated due to our initiative to close borders to cope with pandemic crisis.

The real intention behind this organization’s recent human rights racket against the DPRK is crystal clear.

It is to countervail our advance by all possible means since they are fearful of the power of our Republic which is rising to prominence as the days go by and to cover the actual human rights situation in the U.S. which is getting worse day by day.

The U.S.-a country with the worst human rights records in the world- talks this and that about the human rights situation in other countries. That itself does not hold any water.

It is just the U.S. where human rights are mercilessly violated and people lose their lives even at this moment for the mere reason that they are of another race, just like the black man Floyd who died of violence by a white policeman in May 2020. It is also the U.S. where many women are trampled down their dignity and subjected to human trafficking.

The U.S. should refrain from its presumptuous action and direct all efforts to its own business. It also should put an end to its schemes to tarnish the image of our Republic by putting as the fronts anti-DPRK plot-breeding organizations such as the “U.S. Committee for Human Rights in North Korea”.

The racket of anti-DPRK human rights is a vivid expression of the hostile policy against our state and our system. The U.S. should bear in mind that its continued clinging to such a racket will only bring the result of casting a shadow over the prospect of the DPRK-U.S. relations.
