Pyongyang, April 11 (KCNA) -- A national meeting took place at the April 25 House of Culture in Pyongyang on April 10 to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un 's election as the top Party and state leader.

The platform was taken by Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), first vice-president of the State Affairs Commission (SAC) of the DPRK and chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK, Jo Yong Won, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau and secretary for Organizational Affairs of the WPK Central Committee, and Kim Tok Hun, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee, vice-president of the SAC and premier of the DPRK Cabinet.

Attending the meeting were leading officials of the Party and the government, the chairperson of a friendly party, senior officials of the armed forces organs, members of the Party central leadership organ in Pyongyang, deputies to the Supreme People's Assembly, officials of the Party and power organs, working people's organizations, armed forces organs, ministries and national institutions, service personnel of the Korean People’s Army and the Public Security Forces, teaching staff and students of revolutionary schools, officials of institutions and industrial establishments and persons of merit in Pyongyang.

The reporter stressed that it is the great honor and pride of the Party and the Republic and the greatest happiness of the Korean people to hold the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un in high esteem as their top leader.

He said that the past 10 years, for which the Korean people have struggled under the leadership of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un , are shining as the sacred annals in which monuments to the most successful and great victories have been erected in the face of unprecedented difficulties.

He noted that the respected General Secretary, by scientifically seeing through the law of the developing revolution and the demands of the times with his foresight and wisdom, clearly indicated the path to be followed by the Party and the country for their development by making clear the far-reaching strategy of the Juche revolution and laying down perfect action programmes and guidelines for victory.

He added that it is the most prominent achievement of the respected General Secretary in the history of his guidance on the Korean revolution that he developed the WPK into the strong political staff of the Juche revolution with invincible leadership and fighting strength.

It is the great revolutionary exploit of the respected General Secretary that he opened up a new era of a powerful socialist nation prospering and developing with self-sustenance and self-reliance by drastically increasing the national power of the DPRK, the reporter added.

Recalling that the respected General Secretary placed the country on the status of a full-fledged military power equipped with all powerful physical means of self-defence, the reporter praised him as a peerless patriot and a great defender of peace to be celebrated by the Korean nation and other progressive peoples for all ages.

The past decade, during which the Korean people have waged a sacred struggle for carrying on the revolution under the leadership of a gifted thinker and theoretician, outstanding statesman and peerlessly great commander, clearly proved that the absolute trust and expectations the Korean people reposed in the respected General Secretary, when they entrusted him with the destiny and future of the Korean revolution, were the inevitable and a historical choice, the reporter stressed.

He called on the entire Party, all the people and the whole army to accomplish the revolutionary cause of Juche pioneered in Paektu by devotedly defending the respected General Secretary, who represents the destiny and future of Juche Korea, politically and ideologically, and remaining faithful to his idea and leadership.

Saying that only victory and glory is in store on the road ahead of our Party and people advancing with redoubled courage towards the communist future following the respected General Secretary, he ardently called upon all to work hard for the great Comrade Kim Jong Un , for the cause of the great WPK and for the prosperity of our country, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. -0-
