Nation takes strict practical measures with top emergency anti-epidemic system set in motion

The Ministry of Public Health has taken a series of practical measures strictly true to the idea of the Eighth Political Bureau Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea on switching the state epidemic prevention effort to the top emergency anti-epidemic system.
The ministry held an emergency consultative conference and carefully organized the work to stably contain and control the spread of the infectious disease which infiltrated into the country and eliminate the source of its spread by healing the persons with fever as soon as possible.
The conference discussed the matters of registering and giving medical examination and treatment to those with fever more scientifically, encouraging medical workers to conduct a treatment campaign by displaying high sense of responsibility and devotion and properly providing necessary medical supplies.
As all provinces, cities and counties across the country have been blocked and all working, production and living units isolated from each other, the ministry immediately dispatched officials to Pyongyang and all provinces to ensure that they learn about all problems arising in the provision of medical supplies and treatment and take appropriate steps.
It also positively pushes the work to grasp the amount of medical supplies needed, increase their production accordingly and provide proper conditions for their transport, while ensuring the prompt provision of reserve medical supplies stored up by the state to preventive and curative medical institutions and pharmacies.
And it has taken steps to open new pharmacies in relevant areas and administer medicines to residents and those with fevers strictly according to doctors’ prescriptions.
It concentrates on enlisting all health workers in the public health sector and lecturers, postgraduate and undergraduate students of medical universities and colleges across the country in the intensive medical examination of all citizens to find out persons with fever to the last and providing medical treatment quickly and scientifically.
