Kim Chaek University of Technology increases the bases for the production of high-tech products which will be conducive to integrating education with research and production.
Already with over a dozen such bases, the university has set up more than one high-tech products production base in each faculty and institute.
To name a few, an electronic sensor production base was built in the electronic sensor institute under the Faculty of Electronic Engineering, a nano-technology products production base in the nanophysical engineering institute and a high-voltage electric cable connector production base in the Mirae science and technology centre.
Meanwhile, a research team conducting studies on pure metals under the nonferrous metal institute under the Faculty of Metal Engineering pushes ahead with the construction of a base for the production of rare-earth permanent magnet for wind turbines after providing a technical guarantee for its domestic production. Similar bases have also been set up in other faculties and institutes including the Faculty of Mechanical Science and Technology, the Faculty of Applied Chemical Engineering and the Mirae Industrial Technology Institute.
