A powerful force of army doctors was urgently committed to the campaign for the supply of medicines which is vital in the anti-epidemic war according to a special order of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea which expects the Korean People's Army, the backbone of the national defence capabilities and a powerful supporting force of the Korean revolution, to be active as the main force defending the security of the state and the lives of the people in the present grave anti-epidemic situation.
A meeting of combatants was held at the Ministry of National Defence on the 16th to resolve to fully carry out their honourable tasks in the struggle for controlling the public health crisis in the capital city.
Present there were the combatants of the medical sector of the KPA committed for the supply of medicines and their transport in Pyongyang City and officials of the Ministry of National Defence.
The rostrum was taken by Pak Jong Chon, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK and Secretary of the Party Central Committee, and leading personnel of the Ministry of National Defence.
Pak Jong Chon conveyed the special order of the Central Military Commission of the WPK on urgently committing surgeons of the KPA to the emergency anti-epidemic front of the capital.
Speeches were made at the meeting.
The speakers mentioned the love for the people of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un who has taken important steps unprecedented in the history of army building while commanding in the van the grim anti-epidemic war since the time when there was created the grave situation of inflow of COVID-19 in our precincts. They expressed their high determination to be fortress and bullet-proof wall to safeguard the security of the capital at the cost of their lives.
A letter of pledge to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the meeting.
After the meeting, certificates of dispatch in the name of the Korean People's Army Committee of the WPK were given to the officers and noncommissioned officers to be dispatched for treatment and medicine supply to remove the anti-epidemic crisis in Pyongyang City.
Those combatants were warmly sent off by officials of the Ministry of National Defence, service personnel of the People's Army and their families.
Upon arriving on the spot, they got to supplying medicines with a blitz.
