All-party and nationwide emergency anti-epidemic campaign is intensified every day to reverse the tendency of spread of the pandemic at the shortest time under the energetic leadership of the Central Committee of the great Workers' Party of Korea.

Urgent measures are taken to rapidly correct the deviations in the supply of medicines in the spirit of the emergency consultative meeting of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK.

The medical sector of the People's Army, which received the special order of the Central Military Commission of the WPK, urgently committed powerful forces to all the pharmacies in Pyongyang City to start supplying medicines according to the round-the-clock service system.

Choe Ryong Hae, Kim Tok Hun and Pak Jong Chon, Members of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK, and other senior officials of the Party and the government visited pharmacies and medicines management stations in different districts to learn in detail about the demand for medicines and their supply.

Officials of the Cabinet and leading officials of government organs at all levels are supplying medicines in advance to the relevant pharmacies, clinics and people's neighbourhood units. Practical measures are taken in time lest there should be any lopsidedness in the supply of medicines and the treatment of patients in all places ranging from the cities and towns to the secluded villages in the northern mountainous regions and along the demarcation line.

All the provincial, city and county Party committees and grass-roots Party organizations including the primary Party organizations are doing a proper organizational and political work to urgently deter the spread of the pandemic and stabilize the people's living on the principle of bearing full responsibility for the inhabitants and working people in their regions and units.

Now that the rate of those in a fever is still high within the capital circle, the Pyongyang Municipal Committee of the WPK is making closer plan and command to organize and launch a scientific and intensive examination and treatment campaign. And the officials have gone to hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, foodgrain distribution centres and grain stores to take timely measures for checkup and examination, supply of medicines and stabilization of people's living.

The central emergency anti-epidemic sector is grasping all those in a fever, make a scientific examination of the patients with abnormal symptoms in time and concentrating efforts on fundamentally intercepting and suppressing the spread of the pandemic lest there should occur those infected with the pandemic again among the persons who had already suffered from it.

Mass media are widely used for propaganda aimed at giving extensive common knowledge of the stealth omicron variant and informing the people of scientific treatment methods and anti-epidemic rules.

The public health sector has established data base by grasping the details of the clinical experiences, secret methods, effects and side effects of medicines, days of convalescence and treatment methods and is making correct tactics for treatment on its basis. It is also making and issuing a standardized manual for treatment which described in detail the selection and use of medicines according to the diseases of the patients, and proposals for nursing them.

Amid the work to expand the ranks of medical workers, more than 11,000 officials, teachers and students of the medical workers-training organs across the country were involved in the intensive examination of all the inhabitants and treatment to find out those in a fever and take necessary measures on the 16th.

In the greatest emergency anti-epidemic situation the pharmaceutical factories, Koryo medicine pharmaceutical factories and medical appliances factories throughout the country are directing efforts to producing medicines and medical supplies in urgent demand, increasing the production.

Different sectors of the national economy are speeding up the production and construction to the full while tightly closing every unit for work and production and more perfectly taking anti-epidemic measures.
