Mirae Scientists Street on the bank of the River Taedong is one of the leading streets in the capital city Pyongyang.
In the street there are high-rise and skyscraping apartment houses for thousands of households and more than 150 public service amenities in good harmony.
Ri Hui Sun living in the street says:
"It's very convenient as all the public service amenities are near my apartment house.
There are all the public service centres such as food supply station, gas supply station, barber's, beauty parlour and pharmacy.
I like this place."
Kim Chol Hun, Senior Official of the Phyongchon District People's Committee in Pyongyang City, says:
"There are many public service amenities in good harmony with the apartment houses here in Mirae Scientists Street. It is unthinkable apart from the meticulous guidance of the respected Kim Jong Un.
One day in mid-February 2015 Kim Jong Un took an airplane to watch the full view of the construction site and visited the site the next day.
That day, he gave precious instructions concerning the construction on the spot and specially emphasized how to form the public service amenities.
He said the residential area should have public service amenities like the barber's, beauty parlour, laundry and tailor's and scientists may need service facilities where they have their clothes or shoes repaired on the way to work and back home."
In building something, Kim Jong Un thought first of the conveniences of people to live there.
