A commemorative lecture meeting and film show took place in Vientiane City on the 19th under the sponsorship of the Lao Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the meeting of the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il with Kaysone Phomvihane, former Chairman of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic who visited the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
Present at the events were Vice-Foreign Minister Thongphanh Savanhphet and other officials of the government, political parties and friendship organizations of Laos, the DPRK ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to Laos and staff members of his embassy.
Speaking at the commemorative lecture meeting, Vice-Foreign Minister Thongphanh Savanhphet stressed that the lecture meeting will become an important occasion in enabling the new generations to have a better understanding of the significance of the historic meeting between the preceding leaders of the two countries and the tradition of the good bilateral cooperative relations.
Before the lecture meeting, the participants watched video programs showing the inexhaustible and invincible military muscle and the state symbols of the DPRK.
