Kim Tok Hun, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and Vice-President of the State Affairs Commission and Premier of the Cabinet of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, made a field survey of the immediate farming and emergency anti-epidemic situation in North Hwanghae Province and Nampho City.
Looking round different farms in North Hwanghae Province and Nampho City, he encouraged the agricultural workers and volunteers and learned about issues arising in the farming after the operation of the greatest emergency anti-epidemic system.
He stressed that the agricultural officials should make the most of the manpower and means under the lasting unfavourable weather conditions to more dynamically conduct the campaign for preventing the drought damage. He also underscored the need to cultivate the first crops such as wheat and barley in a scientific and technological way and finish the immediate rice-transplantation qualitatively in the right time.
Kim Tok Hun also went round pharmacies in Sariwon City and Hwangju and Yonthan Counties of North Hwanghae Province and Kangso and Waudo Districts of Nampho City to acquaint himself with the anti-epidemic situation.
He said it is necessary to organize the transport and supply of medicines under a scrupulous plan so that the medicines prepared under the care of the WPK can correctly reach the inhabitants in time and in this way, the policies of the Party Central Committee presented at the meeting and consultative meetings of the Political Bureau of the Party Central Committee should be implemented unconditionally.
He also touched on enhancing the role of the government organs in ensuring the people's living.
At the Nampho Port Kim Tok Hun underlined the need to strictly observe the anti-epidemic rules and order in keeping and handling freights in line with the requirements of the greatest emergency anti-epidemic system.
