Operations and command are activated in an all-round way to promptly respond to changing anti-epidemic situation while firmly maintaining the top emergency anti-epidemic posture nationwide.

The central emergency anti-epidemic sector is completing a reasonable operational plan and applying it by reflecting in detail in close collaboration with experts according to the sustainable trend of favourable turn on the anti-epidemic front, including the problem of constantly controlling state epidemic prevention policies in a mobile way and the problem of establishing regional anti-epidemic grades in a scientific way according to the spread of the infectious disease.

In particular, it is firmly switching the work over to the popular one so as to perfectly block the spread of malignant infectious disease and thoroughly annihilate its source within the shortest possible time while leaving nothing desired against ground, air and coastal blockade lest new mutant viruses infiltrate into the territory.

Efforts are being made to further strengthen the blockade of capital city by inspiring people to act with will and mobilization and strictly enforce the tight-closure measures of regions and units.

Emergency anti-epidemic institutions at all levels have organized epidemiological groups in order to correctly analyse and estimate the nationwide spread of infectious disease.

Emergency anti-epidemic sectors at all levels prioritize the testing of samples collected from rivers and lakes with high risk of infection and space for the inroads and strengthen sterilization.

It makes sure that disinfection facilities are repaired, maintained, perfected, managed and run in major regions and places in a responsible way and on a regular basis, hundreds of thousands of cubic metres of life sewage and thousands of tons of dirt are sterilized and treated every day and samples are surveyed and analysed.

Anti-epidemic posts have been set up in railway stations, roads and other spots to strengthen the sterilization of moving personnel and vehicles, and the intensive monitoring of wild animals is being carried on in the habitats of migratory birds, lakeside and coastline regions.

Research and discussions have been intensified to constantly renovate the guidebook for the treatment of coronavirus, readjust the quarantine and medical surveillance date to meet the specific situation, grasp without omission the patients with high fever who do not react to antipyretic and clarify its causes, and take relevant treatment measures.

Special attention is being directed to children, old people and patients with basic and chronic diseases and hygienic information activities are further intensified for residents.

The Cabinet organized non-permanent medicine supply command teams in Pyongyang and every province, city and county by involving officials of relevant sectors including public health and financial sectors and ensures that timely measures are taken in the transport, sale and price assessment of medicines.

The State Planning Commission, ministries of Chemical Industry and Public Health and other units are working carefully to organize the production and supply of many Koryo medicines which are efficacious for the treatment of sequelae and ensure the supply of raw and other materials needed for the production of anti-epidemic and medical tools and materials.

Provincial, city and county people’s committees are doing their best to minimize inconvenience and sufferings and stabilize the life of the people by supplying drinking water, whose hygienic safety is fully ensured, to households and organizing the activities of outreach service teams more briskly.

Efforts have been put uninterruptedly into implementing the childcare policy of the Workers’ Party of Korea despite the top emergency anti-epidemic situation, and thus the Pyongyang Children’s Foodstuff Factory has wound up the production of baby formula and powdered rice in May ahead of schedule, and the commercial sector and provincial people’s committees are prioritizing the supply of formula and powdered rice for children across the country as a primary task.
