Looking round the construction site of 10 000 flats in the Hwasong area, the premier called on all the officials of construction units to push ahead with the building project as planned by providing scrupulous organization and guidance under the situation of the maximum emergency anti-epidemic system, bearing in mind the unusual pride and high sense of responsibility that they take the lead in carrying out the long-cherished plan of the Party for the people's wellbeing.

At the Namhung Youth Chemical Complex, he stressed the importance of its duty in attaining this year's grain production goal set forth at the Fourth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the WPK, and called for increasing the fertilizer production by raising the operating ratio of equipment and finishing the modernization project as soon as possible.

Learning about the farming situation at the Oryong Cooperative Farm in Mundok County, the Yakjon Farm in Sukchon County and other farms, he called for well tending the first crops, including wheat and barley, given persistent drought, and focusing on the work to qualitatively finish the immediate rice-transplanting at the right time.

Making the rounds of medical appliances factories, medicine producers and supplying units in Pyongyang City, South Phyongan Province and Nampho City, the premier acquainted himself in detail with the implementation of the the Party and the state's emergency anti-epidemic policies and steps before discussing measures.

He urged the Pyongyang Electronic Medical Appliances Factory, the Nampho Medical Appliances Factory, the Phyongchon Koryo Medicine Pharmaceutical Factory, the Mundok County Koryo Medicine Pharmaceutical Factory and other units to drastically boost the production of efficient traditional medicines and thus make a positive contribution to enhancing the treating capacity of public health establishments and cementing their anti-epidemic foundation.

He also went to some pharmacies and medicine management offices in Nampho City and Mundok and Sukchon counties to learn about the supply of medicines to inhabitants and the work to better their living conditions.

The field consultative meetings discussed such issues as supplying plenty of equipment and materials to major construction sites in time, thoroughly implementing the Party's policy on mobilizing all manpower and means to the prevention of drought damage and the rice-transplanting, and constantly and powerfully propelling the work to consolidate the state anti-epidemic foundation as required by the maximum emergency anti-epidemic system, before taking relevant measures.
