Our people were healthy and sound during the last 2 years and 3 months since the outbreak of Covid-19. But Covid-19 has finally hit our country threatening the life of our people and putting our country into the greatest turmoil since its foundation.

But every minute and second of the time passed under the great love unknown to the world on this land where the maximum emergency anti-epidemic system was in motion.

Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un convened the 8th meeting of the Political Bureau of the 8th Central Committee of the WPK on May 12, 2022. There, he put forth a scientific anti-epidemic policy to bring the state anti-epidemic work under the maximum emergency anti-epidemic system. He saw to it that timely measures were taken one after another to achieve a decisive victory in the anti-epidemic campaign.

Since the Political Bureau meeting, mornings of this country were dawned with the news of WPK Central Committee (CC) Political Bureau meetings, Political Bureau consultative meetings and meetings of the Presidium of the Political Bureau, all of which were convened and presided by the respected Marshall with the single agenda item - safeguarding of the people’s lives.

Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un believes in people as in heaven. He has a strong sense of responsibility and duty, and boundless devotion to safeguard people’s health and well-being at any cost. Our people were attended by his warm love which never left them even for a moment.

He, being the commander of anti-epidemic campaign himself, visited the state emergency anti-epidemic headquarters to teach strategies and brilliant ideas for victory. With an earnest prayer that peace and laugh would settle again in all families across the country as soon as possible, he sent reserve medicines prepared by his family to the families in need.

He did not care about his personal health when he visited pharmacies in Pyongyang City which were frequented by sick people.There he stayed till late at night to learn the situation and work out practical measures. Looking up to their great father who regards people of this country as his own flesh and blood and devotes his all to the people, the whole country was moved to tears of happiness and gratitude.

He issued the special order of the Party Central Military Commission, never known in the history of our armed forces, and took measure to immediately stabilize the supply of medicines in Pyongyang City by involving the powerful forces from the military medical field of the People's Army. The medicines sent by the benevolent father became miraculous elixir of life which found its way to each household of this country and a legendary tale associated with it later came into existence.

Although the anti-epidemic situation was severe, our country got more stabilized and strengthened day by day. Our people’s spirit to traverse the difficulties with the united power of love and care grew in intensity.

The international society, which was looking closely at how the DPRK tides over this health crisis, was surprised to find that the anti-epidemic work was improving in no time in our country.

The Western media also carried articles under the title of “Leader Kim Jong Un shares life with his people”.

They said in detail that at the consultative meeting of the Political bureau of the Central Committee, he expressed his firm determination to share his life with people and donated medicines reserved in his family to be delivered to the families in the most difficult situation.

Other foreign personages expressed sympathy with our anti-epidemic policy.

They said to this effect that resolute determination and strong stand of the Korean Leader, stabilized social structure, ideological unity, discipline and swift quarantine measure stand in favor of the victory in the anti-epidemic war.

Our people have firm conviction and will that we would surely emerge victorious as long as we are led by Comrade Kim Jong Un . We have the invincible might of single hearted unity firmly rallied around Party with virtue and emotion. Because of these, we will surely prevail not only in the anti-epidemic work, but also any other storm in the future.
