Delegation of Russian Government Visits Memorial Tower of Soviet Army

The delegation of the government of the Russian Federation headed by Comrade Aleksandr Kozlov, Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology who is Chairman of the Russian side to the DPRK-Russia Inter-Governmental Committee for Cooperation in Trade, Economy, Science and Technology, and Comrade Mikhail Murashuko, Minister of Health, visited the Memorial Tower of the Soviet Army in Wonsan City on April 22, after taking part in the ceremony of declaring the start of the construction of the DPRK-Russia Friendship Hospital.
The delegation was accompanied by Comrade Ju Mun Jin, Chairman of the Kangwon Provincial People’s Committee of the DPRK, Comrade Kim Jong Gyu, Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Comrade Oleg Kosheev, Consul General of the Russian Federation in Chongjin.
They laid bouquets and flowers before the tower in memory of the fallen fighters of the Soviet Army who dedicated their blood and precious lives to the sacred war for Korea’s liberation with the noble spirit of internationalism, and paid silent tribute to the martyrs before looking around the tower.
On the same day, the members of the delegation visited various places of the Wonsan Kalma coastal tourist area.
