A symposium was held at the Central Hall of Workers on the 21st to commemorate the first anniversary of the important letter "Let the Trade Unions Become Advance Units That Open Up a New Era of Upsurge in Socialist Construction in the Vanguard" sent by the respected Kim Jong Un to the participants in the Eighth Congress of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea.
Present at the symposium were Ri Tu Song, Department Director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials of the Central Committee of the General Federation, and officials and members of the trade union organizations and workers in Pyongyang City.
Made public at the symposium were papers that profoundly explained and proved the scientific accuracy and validity of the ideology and theory outlined in the historic letter sent by Kim Jong Un to the participants in the Eighth Congress of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea.
Speakers said the famous work of Kim Jong Un is an immortal great program to be firmly held fast to by the General Federation in the gigantic struggle for ushering in the period of overall development of the socialist construction. They expressed their resolve to fully demonstrate the militant spirit of the heroic working class in today's grand march for the overall development of socialist construction, keeping his important letter deep in their hearts.
