According to decisions of the Eighth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea and its plenary meetings, a foodstuff factory, a garment factory, a daily necessities factory and a paper mill, model factories for development of the local industry, have been wonderfully remodelled and inaugurated in Kimhwa County of Kangwon Province.
They are model entities clearly proving the validity and vitality of the Party's policy on the construction of the local industry. They show a new leap of the local industry.
The inaugural ceremony of those remodelled local industry factories in Kimhwa County was held on the 21st.
Attending it was Kim Tok Hun, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK and Vice-President of the State Affairs Commission and Premier of the Cabinet of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
Present there were officials of the Cabinet, ministries and Party and government organs in the province, working people in Kimhwa County and builders.
Kim Tok Hun made an inaugural address.
He said:
This moment of declaring the inauguration of another creation heralding the era when the local areas change, I offer the warmest thanks to the respected Kim Jong Un who continues to write the history of his fervent love and devotion for the people, representing the unanimous minds of the people in Kimhwa County and all other people across the country.
This inaugural ceremony is a meaningful start of the revolution in the local industry and a historic occasion propelling the advance of the new era when the local areas change. Since all counties develop with their distinctions and faces according to the Party's policy on the revolution in the local industry and its grand plan of rural promotion, the life of the people will be affluent and the overall prosperity of Korean-style socialism be brought earlier, he stressed.
After the inaugural ceremony, the participants looked round the factories.
