A Pyongyang City mass rally was held in front of the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum on the occasion of June 25, the day of anti-US struggle, on the lapse of 72 years after the US imperialists provoked a war of aggression on the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
Present there were Ri Il Hwan, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Kim Yong Hwan, Chief Secretary of the Pyongyang Municipal Committee of the WPK, Ri Tu Song, Department Director of the Central Committee of the WPK, officials of the working people's organizations, officials and working people of the institutions and industrial establishments and youth and students in Pyongyang City.
Speeches were made at the rally.
The speakers vehemently denounced the US imperialists for having provoked the Korean War to suffocate the young DPRK in its cradle, which was less than two years after its founding, and fought the cruellest war of holocaust and the most barbarous war of destruction unprecedented in the world history of wars.
They said the calamity of war inflicted by the US imperialists gives a lesson that it is necessary to foster the invincible strength to defend the sovereignty of the state and the well-being of the people from the enemy's aggression, and continued:
If our country had been so powerful as today, it would not have been forced to experience such misfortunes and sufferings on June 25 at that time.
If the US imperialists try to provoke the DPRK again, oblivious of their bitter defeat in the 1950s, we will mercilessly annihilate the aggressors by mobilizing the irresistible physical means we have consolidated, they stressed.
