The Mirae Industrial Technology Institute of Kim Chaek University of Technology is directing efforts to developing the source-separated waste water treatment and reuse systems which are effective for protecting the ecological environment and water resources.

Merited Scientist, Doctor and Associate Professor Choe Song Il, Director of the Mirae Industrial Technology Institute, says:

"In many cases people in the world regard waste water as one of the valuable resources and renew their opinions.

We divided waste water into grey and black ones and have promoted our researches from the viewpoint of green growth and sustainable development.

We considered both of them to be valuable resources. Grey waste water is the slightly contaminated one and we accelerated our researches in the direction of purifying it into high-grade water for landscape gardening.

Black waste water is the highly contaminated one. In other words, it contains a lot of nutritive elements and we conducted our researches in the direction of applying a new water treatment technique to turn it into biological nutrient solution and forming a cycle with it.

We already had partial tests at different units on a small scale and now we're making another test in high-rise apartment houses in Minhung-dong."

It is the unanimous desire of the scientists of the institute including Director Choe Song Il to complete the researches and thus make an active contribution to building a city with nature-friendly environment.
