It is unbelievable that a weaver covered the distance of more than 40 kilometres a day and continued to do so for 10 years and more.
Mun Kang Sun, Workshop Head of the Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Textile Mill, used to walk the same distance every day to operate a number of machines when she was a weaver.
As a matter of fact, it is not so easy to walk over 40 kilometres almost every day as compared with 42-kilometre-long course of marathon in which a marathoner can reach the finish line only after consuming all his or her mental and physical strength and courage.
Mun Kang Sun became a weaver after she left a middle school in 1998. For 13 years since then, she wove over 555,000 metres of cloth while walking the same course. It was the amount equivalent to what a worker had to weave for 26 years on an average.
The state awarded her the Kim Il Sung Youth Honour Prize and the title of Labour Hero in high appreciation of her merits.
On September 4, Juche 101(2012), the respected Kim Jong Un visited her family that moved to a new flat in Changjon Street and had a picture taken with them.
In September Juche 110(2021), he invited her to the celebrations of 73rd founding anniversary of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and had a photo session again with the labour innovators and meritorious persons attending the events.
The Workers' Party of Korea most treasures and praises those people who devote all their sweat and efforts, always thinking first of the country before themselves.
