The Phyongsong Synthetic Leather Factory concentrates efforts on technical innovation for producing good quality synthetic leather.
The factory upgraded the non-woven fabric production process based on a far-infrared rays thermal radiator, established a sequential cloth insertion process in dry synthetic leather production and an insole production process using vinalon cotton, set up a PLC control system in different production processes and completed an integrated system for both production and management.
As a result, it has become able to raise the quality and productivity of goods while markedly reducing electricity consumption.
The factory pushes the projects for raising the rate of domestic production of raw and other materials and diversifying synthetic leather in terms of colour and shape.
It already completed the research into the use of the vinyl chloride heat stabilizer and dry mica as synthetic leather fillers, realized the domestic production of a foam agent for synthetic leather production, made progress in improving the air permeability of synthetic leather and ensured the domestic production of some additives.
These made it possible to save large quantities of raw and other materials and improve the physical characteristics of synthetic leather including tensile strength, elongation percentage and reverse bending strength.
As the synthetic leather of the factory is bright, soft and elastic and scarcely cracks and wears out even after longtime use, it is widely used to make various kinds of goods such as bags, shoes and sports goods.
Its bag branch factory upgraded over ten bag production facilities including a laser printer and laser cutter and manufactured dozens of new products by introducing many technical innovations.
The products of the factory were highly evaluated in the National Exhibition of Consumer Goods held this year.
