The Orangchon Power Station No. 3 has newly been built.
Its inaugural ceremony took place on the spot on August 4.
It was attended by Jon Hyon Chol, member of the Political Bureau and secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, Ri Song Hak, vice-premier of the Cabinet, Kim Yu Il, minister of Electric Power Industry, Kim Chol Sam, chief secretary of the North Hamgyong Provincial Committee of the WPK, Pak Man Ho, chairman of the North Hamgyong Provincial People’s Committee, officials concerned and officials in the province, builders and employees of the power station.
The national anthem of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea was played.
Jon Hyon Chol read out the message of thanks the WPK Central Committee sent to the builders and other working people and officials in the province and relevant units who performed feats of labour in the construction of the power station.
Ri Song Hak delivered an inaugural address, followed by other speakers.
A resolution was adopted at the ceremony.
After the ceremony, the participants looked round several places of the station, briefed on the production prospects of the station.
