Cities and counties launched into the construction of rural houses according to the decisions of the Fourth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea on transforming afresh the rural villages across the country.

Each province organized its commanding force for the construction of farm houses and takes measures to strengthen construction forces and material and technical foundations of cities and counties.

They mass-produce building materials including coloured roofing tiles, coating materials, tiles, paving stones and plastic pipes by newly building or reinforcing building materials production processes that rely on local materials and other resources.

The construction of rural houses is progressing apace in Jagang Province.

The province gives precedence to transporting materials as it urgently solves problems arising in the project.

Huichon City increases the proportion of construction work done by machines and ensures the quality of building without fail to create a model of the country. Builders of Chosan County speed up construction despite heavy rain and increase the speed of project in the face of lingering sultry weather, while those of Usi County push foundation work and frameworking in a three-dimensional way even in the unfavourable condition of conducting construction in the mountainous area. Kanggye and Manpho cities and Rangnim County are stepping up construction as planned.

North Hamgyong Province grasps all the problems arising in the construction of farm houses and takes appropriate measures on the spot. Shortly ago, the province sent heavy-duty trucks, construction equipment and large quantities of building materials to the construction site of rural houses in Kyongsong County.

The province also channels special energy into improving conditions of roads as most of the construction of farm houses is carried on in the areas with unfavourable material transport conditions. So the repair work is carried on along the main roads and those leading to construction sites in Musan, Yonsa, Hoeryong, Kyongwon and Onsong areas.

Kyongwon and Orang counties are leading others in the province by ensuring specialization in each process, and inventing and introducing new apparatuses to simultaneously ensure the quality and speed of construction.

South Phyongan Province has set the construction of farm houses in Jasan-ri, Phyongsong City, as a model, informed building officials of technical issues related to their construction and ways to solve problems and dispatched well over a hundred building officials to tens of construction sites to ensure the quality of construction.

Builders of Pyongyang and North Phyongan, North and South Hwanghae and South Hamgyong provinces and other areas increase speed while ensuring the quality of construction.

The Sangwon and Sunchon cement complexes, Chonnaeri Cement Factory and other building-materials production units in different parts of the country produce and supply cement without fail needed for the construction of rural houses and the rail transport sector is carrying it in time.
